Transfer Printing Fabric Uses Disperse Dyes

  • For disperse dyes used in transfer printing fabric(WANSHIYITEX), the sublimation temperature should be lower than the melting point of fiber macromolecules and the fabric strength should not be damaged. The suitable processing temperature for polyester is 180~210℃. In this temperature range, the molecular weight of the varieties in which the dye sublimates is between 230 and 270℃. Disperse dyes with molecular weights in this range generally fall into three categories.

    Fast dyeable disperse dye: the color can be sublimated at about 180℃, and the color changes when the temperature increases again, and the edge will be infiltrated.

    Good disperse dye: it can sublimate and develop color at 180~210℃, with flat colour development curve. The temperature has little effect on dyeing, so it is a more suitable disperse dye for transfer printing fabric.

    Delayed disperse dye: dye cannot sublimate and develop color well at 180~210℃. If the temperature is raised, good colour development can be obtained. This kind of dye has a strong dependence on temperature when dyeing.

    According to the above situation, dyes suitable for transfer printing fabric should meet the following conditions:

    1. The dye for transfer printing fabric must be fully sublimated and fixed on the fibre below 210℃, and can obtain good washing fastness and ironing fastness.

    2. The dye for transfer printing fabric can be fully sublimated and converted into gas phase dye macromolecules after being heated, condensed on the surface of the fabric, and can diffuse into the fiber.

    3. The dye used for transfer printing fabric has a smaller affinity for transfer paper and a larger affinity for fabric.

    4. The dye for transfer printing fabric should have bright and bright colour.
