Old RuneScape player coming back... RS3 or OSRS?

  • I'm not tryna be inflammatory, so I am just seeing more... Gripes with this subreddit about cheap RuneScape gold the groups running RS3. I see comparable concurrent RuneScape player rates, but what exactly do you guys think? To what seems like a thriving OSRS community, or return and start from scratch? I am stumped. Both are fun for different reasons, I'm really looking for the community's ideas.

RS3 is more about the endgame because amounts are extremely simple to get, so it is mostly about high level PvM. There are a lot of upgrades that are quality-of-life and lots of things can be carried out afk, instead of the carpal tunnel grind-fest. PvM has way more sophistication than OSRS and also the ability ceiling is really high, individuals who are good enough could take on team bosses alone or perform struggles with no food/armor, etc.. OSRS kept the grindy degrees and also you can't afk so there are more low-mid level RuneScape players, even though it can be pretty vacant in RS3 out of a few places where high level RuneScape players congregate. OSRS minigames are more alive and the neighborhood is larger but they have more bots, whilst RS3 minigames are basically all dead. OSRS nevertheless has a pvp scene while RS3 does not really. High level PvM is largely.

Tyvm for the thoughtful response that makes sense. I have a friend who performs osrs along with"carpel tunnel grinding" is his normal bread peanut butter in games lmao. OSRS does prayer flicking, they do have other mechanics. RS3 has plenty of unique abilities and you need to use the right ones at the right times to counter boss mechanics and either not die or have healed instead. It's how really skilled RuneScape players may survive 2 hours of a team boss whilst independently and win.I'd say stay with the major game (RS3) unless you've got a particular reason to play OSRS, e.g. you enjoy the old battle system, the images, the grind, etc..

Like many others, I quit upon EoC release. Came due to OSRS mobile back. Played for a lengthy time. Then finally got tired of OSRS and went back to RS3. I like the battle system more than I liked the old one. The downside is that I have friends that perform just and their phones can't manage RS3. No lender presets, no hotkeys, etc.. A few days I up gave me tunnel training the abilities and wonder wtf I am doing with my life. Well, anyway. I suppose I grew up. And I am not as hardcore as I was years ago. Nothing but a casual geymer.

As someone who has played since RSC (although I skipped a lot of the RS2 period), I'm a huge fan of Runescape as opposed to Old School. I simply love all of the QOL improvements and the expanded features list personally. That's totally what I'm thinking. Not that OS does not get QoL but man, there's a great deal of things which makes life more easy in RS3. Ive been mining to train up for Priffdinas. It is worth noting RuneLite is an add-on that a gigantic amount of OSRS RuneScape players use and it provides a lot of really big QOL. In case the site is to be reliable, about 84K/134K RuneScape players online OSRS right now use RuneLite. It's not going to buy RS gold allow you to AFK something like that or the way RS3 does, but it has more stuff than I could record.
