Learn the fault analysis of the air compressor to make your work
smoother.

1. The exhaust pressure of a certain stage is too
high:

(1) The inlet and exhaust valves of the next stage are faulty,
or the installation is not good, or the valve plate and spring are
damaged.

(2) The piston ring of the next stage fails.

2. The exhaust pressure of a certain stage is too
low:

(1) The inlet and exhaust valves of this stage are faulty, or
the installation is not good, or the valve plate and spring are
damaged.

(2) The piston ring of this stage is invalid.

3. The exhaust temperature of a certain level is too
high:

(1) The intake temperature of this stage is too high.

(2) The exhaust pressure at this level is too high.

(3) The cooling water drainage temperature is too
high.

4. The oil temperature is too high:

(1) The oil cooler fails.

(2) The bearing or bearing pad or slideway or oil pump is
faulty.

5. Drain temperature is too high: insufficient water
supply.

6. Abnormal sound of the fuselage:

(1) The bearing cage is seriously worn.

(2) The bearing bush gap is too large.

(3) The bolts and nuts are not tight.

7. Abnormal sound of cylinder part:

(1) Water accumulates or foreign matter enters the
cylinder.

(2) The dead center gap is too small.

(3) The nut is loose.

8. Insufficient exhaust volume:

(1) The primary inlet and exhaust valves and piston rings are
defective.

(2) The pipelines at all levels leak, and the cylinder leaks to
the water channel.

(3) The first-stage exhaust pressure is too high.

(4) The resistance of the intake pipe is too large or the air
supply is insufficient. (5) The compressor speed is not enough.
